N. Vittal
Mr. N. Vittal, by invitation, is Chairperson of the Public-Private-Institutional-Community Involvement Partnership that defines the SEZ & DTA project. Mr. N. Vittal during his years in active service has played a catalytic role in developing a then nascent software industry, mobile telephony and telecom liberalization.
He had a role in contributing to innovative concepts such as the Software Technology Parks of India ( the first virtual industrial park and an example of industry friendly policy that also contributed to the explosive growth of India's software industry), NASSCOM as an institution, TIE (the Indus Entrepreneurs) as a high Tech networking powerhouse and more.
Vittal's last official position in the government was CVC, a complex and challenging position. In his earlier years, he has held several positions in Gujarat and been a participant in its economic and institutional development. Presently he is also Chairperson, by invitation to the EMPI-Vittal Centre, a think tank centre based out of New Delhi.

Narayana Murthy

Mr. Narayana Murthy founded Infosys Technologies in 1981 which, today, is the second largest IT services company in India. Murthy retired from his executive position at Infosys on 20 August 2006. However, he continues as the Chairman Emeritus of the Board. He served as Chairman of the National Association of Software and Service Companies from 1992 to 1994. In August 2004, TIME listed him under "Global Tech Influentials" as one of the ten leaders who are helping shape the future of technology. In November 2006, TIME again voted him as one of the Asians who have brought about revolutionary changes in Asia in the last 60 years. Mr. Murthy has also started a new venture capital fund called Catamaran Venture Fund.

Alok Sharma
Director, Vittal Innovation City
Alok Sharma has had a rewarding and diverse experience of 21 years in IT & Consumer Electronics industry with global multinationals. He turned an entrepreneur in 2009 with a passion to build companies focused on technology, innovation and environment. With these core philosophies in mind, he has co-founded Biz India Ventures, pcvisor and allgreen ecotech. Biz India is a print solutions company, offering cartridge remanufacturing and managed print solutions. pcvisor offers remote automated managed services. allgreen ecotech offers energy management solutions for building and infrastructure. Alok also consults with global technology companies.
Prior to these ventures, he had served as the Managing Director for Apple India, wherein he grew the revenue 12 fold in 5 years. He was part of the management team which built Sun Microsystems India and was later the Director, Partner Development (South Asia) based out of Singapore. In the initial years of his career, Alok was the driving the education industry for Apple in India and the Regional Sales Manager at Wipro, responsible for a line of business for North India.

Pankaj Saran
Director, Vittal Innovation City
Pankaj Saran is an Institution Builder, Management Professional & Consultant, Policy Analyst and a Cognitive Scientist. He has, over his professional career, worked in International consulting practice with specific focus on Action Consulting intervention for Organizational change in large and small Corporate and non-Corporate Organizations; worked as an independent Consultant to various organizations in developing assessment and developmental psychological tools for identifying and developing leadership potential. His most recent activity has been his teaming up with Industrial legends to create and nurture one of the leading Business Schools in India named EMPI as a world class Institution. He was also the Head of Research for the European Union funded EU-India International Management Centre and has been on the Principal Co-investigating Team of GLOBE India, the India Chapter of Wharton School's Global Leadership Foundation.

He has also been responsible for floating two first of their kind Initiatives – a participative Public Policy Forum for India (We Think For India) that conceived and ran a National Manufacturing Policy Competition the findings of which were accepted as a base document to guide the development of the New Industrial Policy by the Government of India through its release by the Prime Minister of India; and the EMPI Indian Innovation Awards that for the first time looked at Organisational and Policy innovation in not only Corporates, but non-Corporates and Government. He is also co-editor of a unique Journal on 'Innovations'.

Currently, he is involved with Mr. N. Vittal, in developing collaboration with leading companies, International Science Parks and the Government of Gujarat.

Gulshan Jhurani
Director, Vittal Innovation City
Gulshan Jhurani is a Chartered Accountant with 25 years of experience as a finance professional. He brings with him over two decades of experience gained in running financial modeling and advisory services. Over the years he has advised some of India's largest corporations on financial restructuring and profit creation. His clients have included the likes of GE, Morepen Pharma and the JCT group.

On his shoulders rests the responsibility for financial and strategic planning functions at Vittal Innovation City. It is his financial acumen and resource mobilization skills that form the backbone for the growth of our innovation cluster.

He is also a Director at Zoom Communications, wherein the Build- Operate -Transfer model for broadcast facilities pioneered by ZOOM was his brainchild. Initially, he spent many years of his financial practice to help turnaround and nurture large financially troubled enterprises.

Over the last few years, he is passionately devoting his energy in investing in high potential start-ups and companies that require growth capital. He is an investor and is on the board of several of these companies.

Rahul Sharma
Director, Vittal Innovation City
Rahul Sharma has over 27 years of experience in establishing Indian and global brands in the textile industry and electronics industry. He was earlier the Chief Executive Officer at Pratibha Syntex, wherein he started a greenfield organic cotton project near Indore. He also played a key role helping farmers in over a 110 villages to convert to organic cotton farming, generating wealth in the local population and is today the largest organic cotton farming project in Asia. Prior to that, he was the Marketing Director with Arvind Mills - KBD, wherein he built its business in global markets, primarily in US and Europe. Earlier in his career stint with Bhilwara Group to successfully launched global brands like Champs Elysees-Devanlay Lacoste in India.

He brings with him a unique portfolio of experience from fibres to garments, and is an authority in the field of technical textiles development and applications. He has provided key inputs to the Government of India on the policy for developing the technical textiles industry.
